Darling Cox Testimony about P.R.A.Y. Team
My pastor fully supported my vision for a Puppet Ministry so I began a puppet team with 10 participants ranging in age from 10-20 years. We voted on our name P.R.A.Y. (Puppets Reaching All Youth) because everyone is a child to God our Father. We have performed at children’s churches, vacation bible schools, churches of different denominations, Christian schools, nursing homes, fall festivals, Christian bookstores, a Wal-Mart parking lot, a cable TV station, puppet competitions, summer camps and even on a pier at the Atlantic Ocean. To think it all began with three homemade sock puppets and a stuffed frog! I’M SPREADING PUPPET FEVER!!!
P.R.A.Y.’s goals are to minister in children’s hospitals, make our own videos, go on mission trips and attend more puppet competitions. Also, I would like to form an adult puppet team to be able to accept the many invitations coming in for performances during school hours or at school functions. P.R.A.Y.’s purpose is to serve the Lord by ministering to others with our God-given abilities using the arts of puppetry, music, drama, humor and personal testimonies. Our mission statement is Colossians 3:23-24: Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” (NIV) For more information or if you have questions, please contact us at Emmanuel Worship Center (770) 774-8040. We love serving the Lord and we have fun doing it with puppets. May God bless you, Darlene Cox, Director CATCH THE FEVER!!!! If you want to see the last P.R.A.Y. presentation album, click here |
